Love oneness Don’t like to be divided in religion or party politics. Stay away from divisive agenda. Don’t also let it germinate such an environment in your presence. Nip it in the bud, if occurs.
Techie Teach by leveraging multi-media and tech tools (not just some videos), solving multiple real-life problems, and how to apply the learning to a project. Not interested in theory. Not even interested in knowledge but only on knowledge-application. ‘Online’ is fine with them. Love working in labs. Love communication lab the most.
Sensitive and Ziddi Stay away from hurting their self-esteem. Emotional co-efficient is very high.
Team people They love working in teams. So, go for more team case studies, team projects, team start-up ideas, team field work, team professional societies activities.
Business-like Won’t take it lightly, a teacher missing from a class without making a suitable switch and advance information.
*Be prepared to handle often a blunt and brash conduct. Try and reinforce how a good behaviour and attitude is a preferred condition sought by the employers while hiring. A yet another effective way is to win their trust in your mentoring, skill, knowledge and inspirational mindset.
*Link your teaching-learning to the specific job-pathways to pin their possible focus on to the topic.
*Fair dealings, fair assessment and evaluation. Let them take their answer sheets home duly marked and evaluated. BITS Pilani does this successfully. Builds transparency n’ trust.
